About John.

I’m an interactive designer, living in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve been building websites for 10 years, blogging for 7 years, and enjoying life for 29 years. I grew up outside Buffalo, NY, studied at Boston University, and lived in Boston and Cambridge for 11 years. I now reside on a tree-lined street in Brooklyn, with my girlfriend Lisa and our 2 cats, Katya and Mouse.

My work is primarily focused on design for the web – including Web Standards, Weblogs, Flash, and Localization. I am currently freelancing, but looking for a suitable full-time Interactive Design position. Freelance clients include the Rosie O’Donnell Foundation, EchoDitto, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Democratic National Committee.

For the past 4 years, I worked in the Localization industry, where I specialized in large-scale eLearning and marketing L10n projects for major technology companies. From 2006-2007, I was responsible for planning overall execution of all web and multimedia projects. Included in this scope were recruitment, training and direct supervision of 7 team members, as well as sourcing and direction of external resources, throughout the world.
