This article on Lo-Fi web design, which includes an interview with Jason Kottke, is very interesting. Jason argues that information is more important to weblog writing (why I love RSS readers), than having glitzy, highly-graphical designs. Sites with 60k background images need not apply... I agree, begrudgenly... and I love trend reporting.
