On to Game Six
My heart felt as if it would explode tonight, as the "Red Sox":http://redsox.com & "Yankees":http://www.yankee-hater.com/yankeehater/store-front.html again took it to extra innings, in "Game 5":http://nytimes.com/2004/10/18/sports/baseball/19YANKS-WIRE.html?hp.
"David Ortiz":http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/team/player.jsp?player_id=120074 came through *huge* (again) tonight for the Sox, and we'd probably be talking about an MVP award at this point, except for the fact that the Sox lost the first 3 games in the series.
But, we're through to Game 6, and I'm encouraged by the pitching (starting and bullpen) in the past two games. The big question is, can Curt Schilling pitch well tomorrow, with the tendon injury and the high-top cleat? I sure hope so.

The fact that Schilling tooko the mound w/o the handi-cleat, and ended up with a blood soaked sock, may have restored my faith in baseball… that’s the first instance of devotion to the game that I’ve seen in years…
