Apparently there is an interesting story behind the wide intersection near our house in Cambridge… all week, a construction crew has been tearing up the asphalt, in order to re-pave. And, they found train tracks underneath the street. Train tracks, imagine that!

A neighbor told us that a trolley line used to run down Brookline Ave, and our intersection was a “turn-around”, where cars could change direction.

I’d love to find some historical photos, especially considering our house is right on the corner.
